Dr. Bolfer graduated Doctor in Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and a second doctor degree in Veterinary Cardiology by the University of Florida. He performed a clinical internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York, followed by a clinical and surgery internship at the University of Illinois. Dr. Bolfer completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care and received credentials by the American College of Emergency and Critical Care, and received Diplomate Status by the Brazilian College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Following his ECC training, Dr. Bolfer completed a second residency in Veterinary Cardiology and received credentials by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. With over a decade of advanced specialty training, he brings expertise in cardiology, internal medicine, nephrology, and emergency medicine.
Dr. Bolfer has successfully performed many transcatheter edge-to edge repair (TEER) surgeries—a groundbreaking procedure for treating mitral valve disease in dogs. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Bolfer travels internationally to teach and train other specialists, sharing his expertise and helping shape the future of veterinary cardiology worldwide.
