Dr. Jill Ring brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for education to her role as Director of Education at Veterinary Healthcare Associates. After earning her DVM from the University of Florida, Dr. Ring’s journey led her through various impactful roles, including teaching at junior and senior high schools, contributing to veterinary technician programs, and overseeing senior veterinary students during externships as adjunct faculty at a college of veterinary medicine.
In her career, Dr. Ring has also made significant strides in veterinary education by developing and implementing new Veterinary Technology Programs at several colleges. She has hands-on experience in clinical practice, having run her own small animal house call service, and has served in pivotal roles such as a Veterinary Medical Officer for USDA Regulatory Enforcement and Animal Care, and as an Officer in the Veterinary Corps of the United States Army Medical Department.
Now at VHA, Dr. Ring is passionate about guiding the next generation of veterinary professionals. She finds great joy in teaching, training, and mentoring, believing deeply in the power of education to shape not just careers, but lives.
At home, Dr. Ring shares her life with a rescue dog, a spirited Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix who loves everyone—recently even a coral snake encountered on a walk! When she’s not at VHA, you can find Dr. Ring exploring the beauty of National and State Parks, finding peace and inspiration in the great outdoors.
Her faith is her compass, and she lives by the verse Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
