Anaïs Boa Associate DVM

Dr. Boa grew up in West Africa’s Ivory Coast and later Belgium, and French is her first language. She has a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a master’s in pathology and microbiology from the University of Montreal. She has loved animals since she was a child but did not originally plan on becoming a veterinarian. Initially, she wanted to work with non-profit organizations and help preserve endangered species and the environment. But while she was working toward her master’s degree, her supervisor recommended a dual program with veterinary medicine and Dr. Boa could not have been more grateful.

While she does not currently have any pets of her own due to a recent move, Dr. Boa is dedicated to caring for her patients. She loves the medical aspect of her career and being able to have a direct impact on the lives of pets and people. In the not-so-distant future, Dr. Boa hopes to have a veterinary practice of her own and volunteer with rescue organizations.

When she isn’t at work, Dr. Boa loves tennis, which she has been playing since she was 5 years old, along with other sports. She also enjoys playing the piano, traveling to new places, and cooking.
