Lisa Moore DVM, ACVIM
Dr. Moore is an internal medicine specialist here at Veterinary Healthcare Associates. She earned her doctorate from the University of Florida in 1991, then went on to complete a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 1992, and an internal medicine residency in 1994. In 1995, Dr. Moore was a chief resident at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and in 1996 became certified in small animal internal medicine through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
Before coming to Veterinary Healthcare Associates, Dr. Moore spent two years at the Animal Medical Center in NYC. Until 2005, she worked as an assistant/associate professor at Kansas State University. From 2006 to 2018, Dr. Moore worked at a private specialty practice in Orlando.
Being able to help pets and their families heal is one of the most rewarding parts of the job for Dr. Moore. She also loves being the best veterinarian she can be, along with treating others with empathy and compassion. She has animal family members of her own: A Pit Bull named Tiberius; and three cats, Benedict, Freddie Mercury, and Idris. Outside of work, Dr. Moore enjoys scuba diving, traveling, watching classic movies, reading, trying new cuisines, and listening to “oldies” music.
